"The 3.0-litre engine of the original 911 Turbo is a forced-iduction version of the carrera rs unit .This

started life as a 2.7 litre unit,but was extended to 3.0 litre in 1974. Turbocharging made it considerably more

powerful, it boasted 260 bhp at 5500 rpm and had a top speed of 155 mph. 253lb of torque came in at 4500rpm

and the car hit 60mph in 5.5 seconds.Startling figures- especially in 1974..."
